Where Talent Meets Creativity: ‘Cheza Cheza Ki-Akili’ Kasuku Stationery Brand Campaign
With a more vocal and curious generation coming up, it was necessary for Kasuku Stationery to tap into the tenacity of their target audience with their products and values as a brand. This is how the vibrant and playful brand campaign ‘Cheza Cheza Ki-Akili’ was brought to life. By showcasing that the right stationery makes learning an exciting adventure, Kasuku Stationery is laying the foundation for a bold future for generations to come.
Making the impossible possible
When Protel Studios reached out to the award-winning, multi-talented choreographer and actress well-known online as ‘Nyambu_Art_Princess’, it was a no-brainer that we picked the right person to create a dance that had the energy we were looking for. Whether she is starring in a music video, hyping the crowd at a concert, or gracing our TV screens, we knew our concept was in good hands. “I love kids and as much as I was the choreographer, it was a teamwork experience”, says Nyambu.
It was easy to tell that self-expression through dance comes naturally to her. Before we knew it, she had created the choreography that our cast of brilliant children were going to cheza cheza to. Every move to the beat was creatively executed, and by guiding them with patience, our little dancers quickly turned their jitters into vibrant dancing, singing, and even rapping!
Outside of the classroom, the children were given the opportunity to explore their talents as we shot the video ad. It was refreshing to see them switch from shy individuals to a group of confident dancers almost instinctively. Sometimes all we need is a little nudge, and Nyambu was right, “Their patience, passion, and hard work made the beautiful production a success”.
Why Cheza Cheza Ki-Akili?
Kasuku has been a household name in the education industry for decades. So much so that we find ourselves using their products without thinking twice. But we needed to create a connection with their products that would make students want to use Kasuku.
By encouraging students to ‘Cheza Cheza Ki-Akili’, we are creating a movement that says, “We are not afraid to stand out and go after our dreams.”
So, our team got together and worked on a playful video script and an enchanting jingle to go along with it. And with Nyambu’s help, our group of charming dancers were excited and ready to transform Cheza Cheza from a concept into reality. They brought in the natural talent, energy, and playfulness that this brand campaign stands for. And with Nyambu’s powerful parting shot “Teamwork makes what is impossible to be done, possible”, we truly worked with the crème de la crème.
